Job Overview
As a General Labourer at Alpine Aerotech, you’ll be an essential team member supporting facility maintenance, equipment handling, and general upkeep of our Kelowna site. You’ll assist with varied tasks, from using hand tools to executing minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs. Responsibilities
- Maintain the shop area by cleaning, organizing, and restocking supplies.
- Assist with assembling, disassembling, and moving materials or equipment as directed.
- Operate hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of the building and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform minor electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and masonry tasks.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Assist with groundskeeping, including snow removal and general security tasks.
- Support workstation setup and breakdown, ensuring tools and equipment are stored securely.
- Aid in packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipping or delivery.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, maintaining a clean and safe workspace at all times.
- Fulfill additional duties as needed to support the team and Alpine Aerotech’s operations.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in facility maintenance or a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Forklift experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Working knowledge of building operations, tools, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic skills in electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Effective time and project management skills with a self-motivated attitude.
